The Kelling team are full of ideas and inspiration this week after an exciting visit to The Design Centre for London Design Week 2015. The domes were filled with the subtle fragrance of white hyacinths and fun moss sculptures which really helped welcome in the freshness of spring.
One of our highlights was ‘The Art of Masterpiece Hotels’ lecture where Timo GrÜnert of the prestigious Oetker Hotels group shared his formula to helping them achieve their signature style of being the most glamorous and sophisticated hotels in the world. These included, breath-taking locations, bespoke interiors and a refreshingly unique concept.
We also loved the ‘Get Colour and Pattern’ lecture that was hosted by LivingEtc. Three experts in colour and pattern; florist, Athena Duncan; interior designer, Harriet Anstruther and Cole & Son creative director, Shauna Dennison discussed breaking the rules, the importance of colour confidence and the art of experimenting with different scales and textures.
We could not agree more - we love embracing colour at Kelling, and are certainly not afraid to try something a bit different!
