Tahini Chocolate Banana Bread

- 100g soft butter

- 100g Greek yoghurt

- 200g light brown muscovado sugar

- 200g spelt flour

- 2 eggs

- 4 mashed browning bananas

- 50g tahini paste

- 1.5tsp baking powder

- Big pinch of salt

- 200g dark chocolate, chopped into chunks

- White or/and black sesame seeds

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and line a loaf tin with baking parchment.

  2. Using an electric hand whisk, whisk together the sugar and butter till soft and paler in colour.

  3. Stir through the yoghurt, then the eggs and add the flour. Mix together till a smooth mix forms.

  4. Stir through the bananas, tahini, pinch of salt and baking powder. 

  5. Lastly add the chocolate chips before pouring the mix into your lined loaf tin.  

  6. 6. Sprinkle the sesame seeds over the cake mix and place in the oven.

  7. Bake for 45 minutes - 1 hour depending on how hot your oven/aga is, checking by inserting a toothpick and seeing if it comes out clean.

  8. Remove from the oven once cooked and leave to cool in the tin. Delicious warm!
