Incorporating colour: Elegant Orange
A firm Kelling favourite, elegant orange is the new black and looks great with every colour you pair it with. It brings in warmth, brightness and an uplifting energy whether you use it on a whole wall with paint or wallpaper or bring in pops of orange through your accessories. For me, I always pair orange with teals and pinks as they work effortlessly together, however pretty much any colour pairing can look fabulous. It can also be toned down beautifully by using beige and taupe tones, creating a more muted look with pops of orange scattered throughout your design scheme.
We very rarely do a design scheme that doesn't have some orange in it so it all depends how brave you want to be. You can liven up a neutral design scheme by choosing textiles and accessories in shades of orange such as our striking marmalade china to dress your table, or for instance, introducing a sofa in a bold orange velvet will add a focal point in a living space with muted, neutral walls and floors. If you are more daring though, then why not paint the walls orange and play with neutrals for upholstery and use accessories in teals and pinks to layer colour, pattern and brightness. After all, isn't Hermes Orange the pinnacle of luxury and joy?!
