Reconfigured Abbey

The owners of this characterful Cistercian Abbey had been house hunting unsuccessfully for 2 years, when they fell for the ‘crumbling splendour’ of what was then a run down Grade 1 listed house and ruins.

Kelling Designs had helped them with their London flat eight years previously, and they kindly invited us to work with them again, this time with architects to help reconfigure the Grade 1 listed space into a comfortable and vibrant family home.

We thrived on being resourceful and looked to repurpose pre-existing curtains as well as reupholstering furniture that had been in the clients family for years.

"Emma has colour in her veins, and was fantastic at pushing me to be bold with colour throughout the house"
