Something old, something new - curating your home
A traditional sitting room incorporating collected furniture and artworks
Layering colour and pattern and repurposing heirlooms
Like all beautiful things a stunning home can rarely be created overnight – it is the relationship of objects in the space, incorporating either bought or bespoke made items, or objects that have been handed down or acquired over time to provide a rich history. It also successfully blends design, lighting, colour and textures, which are carefully positioned to maximum effect to retain that relaxed ‘lived in’ look.

Our initial approach to a new project involves walking around the house to observe and discuss how you want to live. If you have lived in the space for some time, you may find you can’t visualise a different layout, or spot the potential improvements to make better use of furniture, or see how a new addition could help link items together. It may be that the existing light sources are not optimal, affecting the whole flow and mood of the room. Or perhaps you don’t feel confident to visualise a suitable wallpaper or select paint colours, fabrics and furnishings and would like some guidance. We are adept at changing the form and function of rooms to tailor to individual needs, whilst incorporating many personalised items – that all important extra layer to make your home uniquely yours which tells your own story.
An elegant bedroom blending the old and new
Drawing on our years of experience, we will naturally notice aspects that could be adapted and will explore these ideas with you to see what you feel comfortable with. We delight in repurposing furniture and repositioning artwork to create impact and make great use of the space. If you are unsure and need help visualising, we can create renders that show how the layout, colours and objects can be orchestrated.

Balancing heirlooms is an art. Interior design masters manage to bring together a mix of design and colour in a way that aesthetically pulls a room together, gives it purpose and warmth, combined with decorative features that unite it. It is rarely about mirroring or evenly spacing objects, but more creating clusters that work together, and colours and shapes that sing in harmony. The grouping of objects can make a fundamental difference, which is why the styling and installation of a project is the ultimate finishing touch not to be overlooked.
