…inside this bijoux flat that we designed and implemented in conjunction with our lovely client. The family is based overseas and wanted to create a comfortable pied a terre, a home from home, in London for both the adults and older teenage children.
The apartment was clean and painted greige colours when they bought it - typical of many London properties put on the market and decorated in a neutral (bland) way to try to appeal to as wide a base of potential buyers as possible.
Luckily for us, the client came to us open minded, and looking for inspiration to make it brighter and more comfortable. They also needed someone to help handle the administration of setting up a turnkey home whilst juggling their own busy working lives.
Having been used to bright tropical light, they were keen to embrace a soft elegant British adaptation using colour and pattern. The design came together into, what we believe is, a much more characterful and joyful version of the space. An uplifting and restful base which is a beautiful retreat from the energy in this bustling city.
